Charles Sturt University and the department of education and training have created great support documents online for students doing their HSC.
This document is on Design Inspiration. It will assist you on how to find, display and evaluate your inspirational materials to gain to knowledge and understanding on starting your Major Design Project. These materials might be your own sketches and drawings, collections of other designers works, colours and textures that might be suitable, life experiences like travel and movies that relate to your theme.

In the outcomes box at the top of the page it says that the site is made to help students with outcome H1.1 (critically analyses and explains the factors that have contributed to the design and manufacture of the Major Textiles Project) of the syllaybus but i believe is relates to outcome H2.1(communicates design concepts and manufacturing specifications to both technical and non-technical audiences) with the same amount of significance. Design Inspiration is directly related to the Design Concepts mentioned in H2.1.
